How I Fix Bad Brows with the Pico Laser
Brows are everything. They can transform the face, enhance facial structure and make the eyes look more youthful. Unfortunately, bad brows do just the opposite.
The good news is that bad brows don’t have to be permanent and can be fixed in just a few pigment removal sessions with the PicoSure Pro laser, one of the newest additions to our laser lineup at Beauty Glam Studio.
Removing Eyebrow Pigment
Although cosmetic brow tattoo procedures like microblading, nanoblading and ombre brows are considered semi-permanent, they may fade unevenly, change color or last longer than desired.
Removing previous brow tattoo pigment creates a blank canvas, so we can correct previous work or add new hair strokes if desired.
Common Reasons for Brow Tattoo Removal:
• Color changes (pigment turns blue, reddish or gray)
• Uneven fading or pigment migration
• Unwanted shape or lack of symmetry
• Desire to add new hair strokes or return to a more natural look
Traditional tattoo removal lasers aren’t always ideal for delicate facial areas. But the Pico laser has changed the game, offering more effective results and precise application to decrease the risk of skin damage.
How the Pico Laser Works
The Pico laser delivers targeted, ultra-short bursts of 755 nm energy in picoseconds to shatter pigment particles into tiny fragments, which are then flushed out by the body’s natural processes.
Pico targets unwanted pigment without high thermal damage, so it’s also ideal for treating pigmentation (like sunspots), acne scarring, wrinkles, and overall skin tone and texture without significant downtime.
Pico vs. Traditional Lasers
Compared to less sophisticated pigment removal methods, Pico is faster, safer and more precise, especially on areas of the face like the brows.
Why is Pico Laser Different?
• No reliance on heat means less risk of skin damage
• Shorter pulses allow for more precise targeting
• Better at treating a wide range of pigment colors
Designed for all skin and tattoo types, the Pico laser works effectively, even on hard-to-remove black ink or stubborn tattoos that have been resistant to previous treatments.
Key Benefits of Pico Laser
• Gentle on delicate skin and minimizes the risk of damage to surrounding skin
• Works on stubborn pigment
• Fewer treatment sessions needed
It’s also important to note that the Pico laser targets pigment, not hair, so your existing brow hairs will not be affected.

What To Expect During Pico Laser Treatment
We will customize a treatment plan based on your skin type and existing brow pigment. Though most clients describe the pain as minimal (like a snapping sensation on the skin), a numbing
cream will be applied after prepping the brow area.
There is little downtime, with mild redness and swelling lasting one to three days. We’ll also discuss aftercare and the recommended number of sessions to achieve your desired results.
After old pigment has been removed, your brows are a clean slate—and you’re ready to schedule a consultation for new nano hair stroke brows or powder brows.
What Affects the Number of Treatments?
• Type, intensity and color of existing pigment
• Age of brow tattoo
• Skin type and typical speed of healing
Though results can be gradual, most clients see an improvement within a series of two to six treatments. Be patient and remember: You’re not stuck with bad brows forever.
